Increasingly organisations, whether in the public, private or voluntary sectors, are seeking to ensure that in-house training staff are skilled in delivering training in equality and diversity issues. Equal and Diverse has many years experience of skilling and training individuals to train on equality and diversity issues.

We offer a one day intensive programme which enables staff starting with even a very basic knowledge to develop core skills on which to build competence and confidence in delivering equality and diversity training.

By its nature the workshop is highly participative and a great deal of time is taken up by modelling activities which trainers may then go on to deliver on their own. Although each workshop is designed to meet the individual needs of those attending, generally the following themes are covered:

• The challenges of training and leading on equality issues.
• The role of setting ground rules.
• The diverse ways in which people learn and contribute.
• Basic group dynamics.
• Dealing with challenge and conflict on equality issues.
