Communication training.
Communication is vital to the success of a business or the effective running of any organisation. When things go wrong very often poor communication is discovered to lie at the heart of the problem. On one level communication is easy – we do it every day after all! But on another communication can be challenging and fraught with danger.
This course is primarily directed at those for whom communication is a key part of their daily work, whether between colleagues, managing staff or dealing with clients/customers.
Although the typical workshop usually lasts one day this can be adjusted according to the needs of the organisation.
By the end of the workshop participants will have:
Examined the nature of communication and how human individuals communicate.
Reflected on their own use of communication and language, especially non-verbal communication.
Considered the barriers and blocks which prevent effective communication
Explored the concepts of total communication environment and its applicability in diverse contexts.
Considered the nature of choice and empowerment as focuses of communication.
Explored the importance of listening as a key part of effective communication and response, especially in management and customer services situations.
Examined and developed appropriate action planning tools to advance communication within their own work and that of their organisation.
The workshop will be supported by a handbook which will be given to all participants.
