Human Rights Training
Human Rights
Human Rights are an increasingly significant part of British life – whether in the workplace or in the services we offer to our customers. Perhaps like no other area in equality and diversity there are many, many myths relating to this subject.
Equal and Diverse has many years experience of working at strategic and organisational levels to embed good practice in relation to human rights.
We offer a general staff and organisation training and awareness programme in this area which can be as short as a half day or can be a whole day.
In developing a course for you we always attempt to ensure that the issue of human rights is examined as it fits into your organisation. However, amongst the typical themes and issues explored we examine:
- What are human rights?

- The story and history of the development of human rights.
- Absolute and qualified rights.
- Putting human rights into practice
- Creating a human rights based working and service environment.
- The role of policy in embedding human rights.
- Building confidence around rights.
